Social training, now for the masses.
BIG NEWS: We’re happy to announce that dailymile is now out of private beta!
Dailymilers logged over 100,000 miles during the private beta–that’s four times around the world–and we’re looking forward to logging many more. Thanks to everyone who has given us feedback and logged miles. We’ve worked hard to incorporate your feedback and you all deserve the credit for the great experience on the site. It has been an amazing last few months, and we feel lucky to be apart of the dailymile community. You guys are awesome!
Help Us Spread the Word
If you love dailymile, we need your help to get the word out!
And, if that isn’t a good enough reason, how about a free iPod shuffle? (They’re great to work out with!) Write a blog post about our launch and let us know that you did. On Monday, we’ll pick a winner.
If you enjoy our site, don’t forget to share the love with your friends, family, and workout buddies too! As dailymilers, you know training is so much more fun with friends. Anyone can now sign up for the site and start training. You can invite your friends here:
http://www.dailymile.com/account/invitations.
Let your Twitter followers know that @dailymile has launched, get fit for the new year!
What’s on our roadmap?
We’ve had so much great feedback. Here are a few of the things we’re working on:
Routes — calculating the distance you ran or cycled and then sharing a map of your route with others is a top priority. We’ll be adding this functionality soon.
Workout Import — importing your workouts from Nike+ and Garmin devices. We use them too and know how nice it is to just plug it in and have your distance and time uploaded automatically.
Challenges — start a challenge and invite your friends to participate. First to run 100 miles? Fastest 5k? We’ve got some really cool features we can’t wait to show off.
As always, if you have questions or feedback, send us a note: contact at dailymile.com.
See you on dailymile!

Sweet! I Twittered and blogged for you guys.
I think it’d be sweet if people could search for other DailyMilers by e-mail addresses. Sort of like how you can find friends on Facebook by searching your e-mail address book.
